Hay Fever

Also known as allergic rhinitis, is an allergic condition of the airways. Hay fever sufferers experience sneezing, coughing, wheezing, itchy eyes and back of throat, watery eyes, swelling and inflammation of the nasal passages, and an increase in mucous production. Very sensitive individuals may experience hives and rashes too. Patients can often feel fatigued, restless and sometimes lose their appetite.

Hay fever is most commonly a seasonal allergy largely due to the different pollen or spores being released by nature. It is often worse during late spring/early summer and at the end of the summer.
