We offer several types of body massage at The Bodyworks Practice; Swedish Massage (our lightest and most relaxing massage), Deep Tissue Massage (a firm, focused massage, excellent for relieving general tension) and Sports Massage (our most focused and area specific massage).
The primary aim of Sports Massage is to get you to a position where you are no longer experiencing discomfort or limited range of movement in the quickest and most effective way. This is a very firm, very focused massage, specifically designed to reduce muscular tension, address minor injuries and ease deep muscular pain and discomfort.
The Sports Massage Treatment
The Sports Massage practitioner focuses on particular muscle groups and surrounding tissues associated with the injury.
Through various types of manipulation and assisted stretching exercises, the primary aim of Sports Massage is to get you to a position where you are no longer experiencing discomfort or limited range of movement.
A rehabilitation programme including progressive exercise, stretches, supplements and nutrition advice aims to return you to your previous level of health and fitness.
We also work alongside Physiotherapists, Osteopaths (on site) and Personal Trainers to give you the best possible treatment, to get you back to where you need to be as soon as possible
