What is Reflexology?
Reflexology works on the principle that every organ and system of the body has a corresponding point or zone in the feet. The Reflexologist massages the feet with their hands, fingers and knuckles, using varying pressure on the different zones and points on the feet, ankles and toes to release tension, remove energy blockages, stimulate blood circulation and encourage homeostasis within the body and mind.
What does a Reflexology treatment involve?
The practitioner will begin by taking details of the client’s medical history and lifestyle. The client will be asked to remove only their footwear. The client, fully clothed apart from their feet, will lie on a massage couch whilst the practitioner works on their feet and ankles.
Generally, most clients report that a reflexology treatment is wonderfully relaxing and soothing, and many people fall asleep. Each session will last about an hour and, in most cases, a series of sessions are necessary to resolve any problems. Some clients book a regularly weekly or monthly session as a preventative measure, to keep their systems balanced and in good working order.
What is Reflexology good for?
Reflexology can be used to treat a wide range of disorders including skin and respiratory conditions, migraine, PMS and menopausal problems, chronic fatigue, stress, depression and anxiety.

The Reflexologists
Sarah N has been working in the Health and Fitness industry for over 22 years. In 2005 she qualified as a Reflexology practitioner at Raworth College, Dorking, She has subsequently trained in Hot Stone Fusion, Indian Head Massage and Ayurvedic foot massage.
Deepa is a firm believer in the eastern tradition of incorporating massage into daily routine to maintain optimum health and vitality.
