The detoxification organs:
The liver: is the second largest organ in the body, (the skin being the first), and has an almost endless list of jobs. It is located on the right hand side of the body under the ribs and is vital for everyday functioning. Your liver should absorb and utilize what it needs and excrete from the body what it doesn’t. Now, with life being as it is, what with stress, emotions pollution, pesticides and the like, this adds even more of a burden onto the liver than it can deal with. Your liver can show no ‘clinical’ problems until over 80% of it is destroyed. But, your liver is clever and can normally rebuild itself naturally - to an extent. You must rest, support and re-balance to re-build your liver.
Gallstones can occur and obstruct liver function with gallstones. If this occurs, it is a possibility that the gallbladder will need to be removed or treated in hospital. One in 10 people will develop gallstones. Women, people over 40 and overweight people are more likely to develop them.
When we support the natural elimination pathways in the gallbladder stones are often sighted.
Common signs of liver and bowel toxicity: Gallstones, gallbladder removal, pain in the upper right quadrant of the rib cage, pain around the right shoulder blade, skid marks, constipation, IBS, headaches, nausea, emotional ups / downs, mood swings, hormonal disturbances, skin disorders, brown skin spots, sluggishness, fatigue, dry / itchy / red eyes, waking up between the hours of 1-3am.
The kidneys (renal) are 2 bean-shaped organs located next to the spine.. By location, you can see it is very easy to mistake kidney problems with back problems. Wastes from the body are sent into the blood. The kidneys then remove the waste in the form of urine. If our kidneys did not remove this waste our blood would begin to become quite toxic. If our kidneys stop functioning altogether we would need medical assistance to stop us from drowning in toxins from blood poisoning.
Common signs of kidney toxicity: Diabetes, high blood pressure, water retention, dehydration even when drinking the recommended 2 litres per day.

The Detox Programme
The programme is tailored specifically for your own individual health needs and made to ensure that they suit your lifestyle at the same time. You will need to undertake a consultation to ensure that you are suitable. This will include a health consultation and an iridology assessment. No-one plan will suit all.
Then you will be given a 1,3, 5 or 7 day plan to follow.
In the 5 and 7 detox programme you will have a photo taken of your eyes and an on screen iridology reading to help you further understand yourself and your genetic weaknesses.
Your Detox Therapist
The Detox Programmes are created by our nutritionist Nicole Ferguson who has studied in Australia and with pioneers in the UK.
Nicole Ferguson M.A.C.H., R.T. M.G.N.I is the co-director and head therapist at The Bodyworks Practice, she qualified as a Nutritionist and Iridologist in Sydney, Australia in 2005. Nicole lectures across the UK on the varying aspects of Nutrition and heads up all of our Health and Wellbeing Programmes and Detox Packages
