Welcome to the Central London Chronic Pelvic Pain Syndrome (CPPS) and Prostatitis Support Group. On this page you will find information about when the next support group will take place and information on previous support groups.
The next support group will take place from 7-9pm on Tuesday 22nd May 2012.
This month we will be discussing relationships and prostatitis. Prostatitis can be a difficult enough condition to deal with on its own, how do we juggle relationships alongside the condition? Do your family, friends or work colleagues know you have the condition? If so, how have they helped and assisted you through the hard times? What would you suggest to others who haven’t been able to open up to those closest to them. What are the pros and cons of letting others know that you have prostatitis?
Do you suffer with any of these symptoms? Pain in the following;
- Urethra (internal to the penis)
- Tip of Penis
- Base of Penis
- Shaft of Penis (external to the penis)
- Rectum
- Inner thighs
- Testicles
- Perineum (surface discomfort)
- Prostate (felt as pain higher than the perineum [deeper, internal pain])
- Above the Pubic Bone (between the pubic bone and belly button)
- Lower Back Pain
- Pubic Bone
Or...
- Increased urinary frequency
- Increased nocturnal urinary frequency
- Pain upon or after ejaculation
Sit comfortably in the knowledge that you are not suffering alone. The aim of the Support Group is to raise awareness of Prostatitis and CPPS, allowing for greater support for sufferers and a greater depth of knowledge and understanding into this relatively unknown condition.
The support group will be run by Karl Monahan, who practices from the Prostate Centre, Wimpole St and his own clinic in Surrey treating Prostatitis and CPPS patients.
The next support group will take place from 7-9pm on Tuesday 22nd May 2012 at
All Souls Clubhouse, 141 Cleveland Street, London, W1T 6QG
As this is a completely non-profit making exercise, Karl would ask that attendees make a minimum donation of £5 just to cover the cost of the space used for the meetings.
If you have any questions regarding the support group, Prostatitis, CPPS or any other related issue please do not hesitate to email Karl on karl@thebodyworkspractice.co.uk
